Overlooking the harbour entrance of Mill Bay, Ranui Accommodation is the perfect place for a weekend getaway. Approximately four hours north of Auckland in the beautiful Doubtless Bay is where you will find us.
Just a short walk from Mangonui waterfront offering cafes, restaurants, art and craft studios and much of the original architecture of the historic whaling and trading town. The Doubtless Bay area extends from Taupo Bay in the east to the Karikari Peninsula in the west. It includes the settlements of Hihi, Coopers Beach, Cable Bay, Taipa and Whatuwhiwhi, with its centre in busy Mangonui.
With a warm sub-tropical climate, over 70kms. of unspoiled coastline and an abundance of safe beaches, Doubtless Bay on the Pacific Ocean is a holiday paradise and an ideal base for a holiday in Northland.

"Reception, Michelle, so friendly and accommodating. The apartment we stayed in had water views, both sides, very clean, and comfortable and not expensive. A good walk to Manganui Fish shop, Cafe`s, Pub and shops. Not far to anywhere in the far north. Would certaninly stay there again, and would certainly recommend it. Thankyou Michelle for a lovely place."

"What a lovely view! Loved sitting on the deck & having my wine. Very comfy unit, had a kitchen with everything you need. Shower pressure is what you would expect being on tank water. Plenty of parking. Check in was hassle free & receptionist was lovely. Certainly going back."

We stayed in Ranui Accommodation for 2 nights.. This is a very lovely place with a great view. Everything was available and also there were instructions regarding not to panic if we hear sirens (which I personally liked) since I have never come across such situation before and apparently we did hear Sirens that day 🙂 I would recommend travellers to stay there and it also close to the beach.

"Stayed here 3 nights and it was superb. The views are incredible, from the front over the ocean and from the back over the Bay. The accom was very comfortable and quiet, just above the town. Peter, the proprietor, is extremely helpful with suggestions of places to eat and the best way of seeing all the area has to offer. Originally booked 2 nights but luckily were able to extend it to 3 as we enjoyed the Northland so much. Would happily recommend Ranui Accommodation to anyone."
